PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CONNECT GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3 with the engine switch off.

    2. Start the engine and run it at idle.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Active Test.

      Tip:

      Refer to the GTS operator's manual for further details.

    INSPECT ACTUATOR MOTOR OPERATION


    1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Active Test / Motor Relay.


      1. Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Active Test
        Tester Display
        Motor Relay




    2. Turn the motor relay on and check for actuator motor operation sounds.

      Note:

      Do not keep the motor relay on continuously for more than 5 seconds. If it needs to be operated repeatedly, wait an interval of more than 20 seconds between operations.

    3. Turn the motor relay off.

    4. Fully depress the brake pedal and hold it for approximately 15 seconds. Check that the initial pedal depth is maintained for the entire 15 seconds.

    5. Turn the motor relay on and check that the brake pedal does not pulsate.

      Note:

      Do not keep the motor relay on continuously for more than 5 seconds. If it needs to be operated repeatedly, wait an interval of more than 20 seconds between operations.

    6. Turn the motor relay off and release the brake pedal.

    INSPECT RIGHT FRONT WHEEL OPERATION


    1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Active Test / ABS Solenoid.


      1. Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Active Test
        Tester Display
        ABS Solenoid




    2. Depress the brake pedal and hold it.

      Note:

      Do not turn on a solenoid in a manner different than that shown in the following steps.

    3. Turn the SFRH and SFRR solenoids on simultaneously and check that the brake pedal cannot be depressed further.

      Note:

      Each solenoid operates for 2 seconds and turns off automatically. If a solenoid needs to be operated repeatedly, wait an interval of more than 20 seconds between operations.

    4. Turn the SFRH and SFRR solenoids off simultaneously and check that the brake pedal can be depressed.

    5. With the brake pedal still depressed, enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Active Test / Motor Relay.


      1. Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Active Test
        Tester Display
        Motor Relay




    6. Turn the motor relay on and check that the brake pedal returns.

      Note:

      Do not keep the motor relay on continuously for more than 5 seconds. If it needs to be operated repeatedly, wait an interval of more than 20 seconds between operations.

    7. Turn the motor relay off and release the brake pedal.

    INSPECT OTHER WHEEL OPERATION


    1. Using the same procedure, check the solenoids of the other wheels.

      Tip:
      • Front left wheel: SFLH, SFLR

      • Rear right wheel: SRRH, SRRR

      • Rear left wheel: SRLH, SRLR
