REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B004OQ5C12
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Combination Light Assembly LH)

      Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear combination light assembly LH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      M43-3 (B) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

      M43-2 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

      		 Turn signal light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear turn signal light bulb or rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear combination light assembly LH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      M43-4 (B) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

      M43-2 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

      		 Back-up light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the back up light bulb or rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

    3. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear combination light assembly LH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      M43-1 (TL) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

      M43-2 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

      		 Taillight comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear combination light lens and body or rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Combination Light Assembly RH)

      Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear combination light assembly RH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      M42-3 (B) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

      M42-2 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

      		 Turn signal light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear turn signal light bulb or rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH.

    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear combination light assembly RH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      M42-4 (B) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

      M42-2 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

      		 Back-up light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the back up light bulb or rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH.

    3. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the rear combination light assembly RH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      M42-1 (TL) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

      M42-2 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

      		 Taillight comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear combination light lens and body or rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH.
