HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT RH

   
   

   1. Remove the headlight assembly RH.

      Click here

   2. Remove the headlight unit RH from the headlight assembly RH.

      Click here

   3. Inspect the headlight leveling motor circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Leveling Motor RH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E-1 - B-17 (ACTGI) Always Below 1 Ω E-2 - B-8 (ACTSI) Always Below 1 Ω E-3 - B-7 (ACTBI) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly RH.

   4. Inspect the Lo / Hi beam headlight light source circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Unit RH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-5 - B-4 (LOLED2) Always Below 1 Ω C-6 - B-5 (LOLED1) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit RH.

   5. Inspect the Lo / Hi beam shade circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Unit RH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-10 - B-10 (HI+) Always Below 1 Ω C-4 - B-1 (HI-) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit RH.

   6. Inspect the headlight fan circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Unit RH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-12 - B-6 (FANB) Always Below 1 Ω C-11 - B-15 (FANP) Always Below 1 Ω C-4 - B-14 (FANG) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit RH.

   7. Inspect the clearance light circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Lens RH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D-2 - B-19 (CLL+) Always Below 1 Ω D-1 - B-2 (CLL-) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit RH.

2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT LH

   
   

   1. Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      Click here

   2. Remove the headlight unit LH from the headlight assembly LH.

      Click here

   3. Inspect the headlight leveling motor circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Leveling Motor LH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E-1 - B-17 (ACTGI) Always Below 1 Ω E-2 - B-8 (ACTSI) Always Below 1 Ω E-3 - B-7 (ACTBI) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly LH.

   4. Inspect the Lo / Hi beam headlight light source circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Unit LH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-5 - B-4 (LOLED2) Always Below 1 Ω C-6 - B-5 (LOLED1) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit LH.

   5. Inspect the Lo / Hi beam shade circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Unit LH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-10 - B-10 (HI+) Always Below 1 Ω C-4 - B-1 (HI-) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit LH.

   6. Inspect the headlight fan circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Unit LH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-12 - B-6 (FANB) Always Below 1 Ω C-11 - B-15 (FANP) Always Below 1 Ω C-4 - B-14 (FANG) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit LH.

   7. Inspect the clearance light circuit.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (to Headlight Lens LH)
         *b	Component without harness connected (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D-2 - B-19 (CLL+) Always Below 1 Ω D-1 - B-2 (CLL-) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit LH.
