AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SYSTEM Automatic High Beam Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects automatic high beam main switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly) signals. The automatic high beam system can be turned on and off by operating the integration control and panel assembly (automatic high beam switch).

Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SWITCH (NO. 2 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Remove the automatic high beam main switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly).

    2. Inspect the automatic high beam main switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the F17 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F49-9 (+B) - F17-17 (AHBI) Always Below 1 Ω
      F49-9 (+B) or F17-17 (AHBI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F49-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
