LIGHTING SYSTEM High Beam Headlight Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assemblies control the high beam headlights.

Note

If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH.

    2. Remove the headlight unit LH from the headlight assembly LH.

      Click here

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT LH (LO/HI BEAM SHADE)


    1. Reconnect the C headlight unit LH connector.

      Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the headlight unit LH and check that the LO/HI beam shade operates normally.

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → B-1 (HI-)

  4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the headlight assembly RH.

    2. Remove the headlight unit RH from the headlight assembly RH.

    1. Reconnect the C headlight unit RH connector.

      Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the headlight unit RH and check that the LO/HI beam shade operates normally.
