DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assemblies control the daytime running lights.

Note


  • If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT LH (FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) - POWER SOURCE OR BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the A26 fog light assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A26-2 (DRL) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A26-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT LH (FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH))


    1. Disconnect the A18 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A18-8 (RLD2) - A26-3 (DRLC) Always Below 1 Ω
      A18-8 (RLD2) or A26-3 (DRLC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the fog light assembly LH.

    2. Inspect the fog light assembly LH.

      Daytime running light LH operate normally.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT RH (FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH) - POWER SOURCE OR BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the A25 fog light assembly RH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A25-2 (DRL) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A25-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect the A19 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A19-8 (RLD2) - A25-3 (DRLC) Always Below 1 Ω
      A19-8 (RLD2) or A25-3 (DRLC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. INSPECT FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the fog light assembly RH.
