REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LH DOOR)

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly (for LH Door))

      Check the switch function.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        L4-5 (UP) - L4-7 (GND) Auto up or up position Below 100 Ω
        L4-4 (DOWN) - L4-7 (GND) Auto down or down position Below 100 Ω
        L4-8 (AUTO) - L4-7 (GND) Auto up or auto down position Below 100 Ω
        L4-5 (UP) - L4-7 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher
        L4-4 (DOWN) - L4-7 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher
        L4-8 (AUTO) - L4-7 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly.

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the power window regulator switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Tester Connection Specified Condition

        L4-3 (ILL+) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

        L4-1 (ILL-) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly.

  2. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for RH DOOR)

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Power Window Regulator Switch Assembly (for LH Door))

      Check the switch function.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        K3-5 (UP) - K3-7 (GND) Auto up or up position Below 100 Ω
        K3-4 (DOWN) - K3-7 (GND) Auto down or down position Below 100 Ω
        K3-8 (AUTO) - K3-7 (GND) Auto up or auto down position Below 100 Ω
        K3-5 (UP) - K3-7 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher
        K3-4 (DOWN) - K3-7 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher
        K3-8 (AUTO) - K3-7 (GND) Off 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly.

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the power window regulator switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Tester Connection Specified Condition

        K3-3 (ILL+) - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

        K3-1 (ILL-) - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

        		 LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
