DESCRIPTION

The air conditioning amplifier assembly communicates with the windshield wiper relay assembly, windshield wiper relay assembly and air conditioning thermistor assembly via LIN communication.

If a malfunction occurs in the LIN communication line and a communication error occurs, this DTC is stored.

Tech Tips

The air conditioning thermistor assembly must be replaced if the glass temperature sensor is malfunctioning.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - AIR CONDITIONING THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY, WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F58 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O1 air conditioning thermistor assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the F43 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F58-15 (SCLI) - O1-3 (MPX) Always Below 1 Ω
      F58-15 (SCLI) or O1-3 (MPX) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the F58 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Connect the O1 air conditioning thermistor assembly connector.

    3. Check for DTCs.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the F43 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O1 air conditioning thermistor assembly connector.

    3. Check for DTCs.
