The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during rear seat outer belt assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If an SRS part is accidentally deployed, it may cause a serious injury.

      Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly LH.

      w/o Pretensioner:


      1. Remove the 3 bolts.

      2. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly LH.

      *b Protective Tape

      w/ Pretensioner:


      1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

        Remove the 3 bolts.

      3. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly LH.

      Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly RH.

      1. Remove the 3 bolts.

      2. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the rear 3 point type seat outer belt assembly RH.

      1. Remove the 3 bolts.

      2. Disengage the 3 guides.

        Disengage the clamp.

      4. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
