SEAT HEATER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (for LH)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Seat Heater Switch (for LH))

      Check the seat heater switch (for LH).

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F24-1 (LO) - F24-6 (E) HI switch on Below 1 Ω F24-2 (IG) - F24-3 (HI) HI switch on Below 1 Ω F24-1 (LO) - F24-2 (IG) LO switch on Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for LH).

   2. Check that the LEDs illuminate.

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the seat heater switch (for LH) and check that each LED illuminates.

         OK
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F24-2 (IG) - Auxiliary battery positive (+) F24-6 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-) HI switch on Comes on F24-2 (IG) - Auxiliary battery positive (+) F24-6 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-) LO switch on Comes on F24-4 (ILL+) - Auxiliary battery positive (+) F24-5 (ILL-) - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Always Comes on

         If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for LH).

2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (for RH)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Seat Heater Switch (for RH))

      Check the seat heater switch (for RH).

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F25-2 (LO) - F25-10 (E) HI switch on Below 1 Ω F25-3 (IG) - F25-4 (HI) HI switch on Below 1 Ω F25-2 (LO) - F25-3 (IG) LO switch on Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for RH).

   2. Check that the LEDs illuminate.

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the seat heater switch (for RH) and check that each LED illuminates.

         OK
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F25-3 (IG) - Auxiliary battery positive (+) F25-10 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-) HI switch on Comes on F25-3 (IG) - Auxiliary battery positive (+) F25-10 (E) - Auxiliary battery negative (-) LO switch on Comes on F25-6 (ILL+) - Auxiliary battery positive (+) F25-8 (ILL-) - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Always Comes on

         If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for RH).
