FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Power seat is available only on the driver side.

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The following procedure is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B004OSF

      Place the front seat assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Connect the front seat airbag assembly LH connector under the front seat assembly LH.


      1. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

      2. Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).

        Note


        • When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.


        • When engaged, the white housing lock will slide. Be sure not to hold the white housing lock and upper part of the yellow CPA, as it may result in an insecure fit.

    3. Connect each connector and engage each clamp under the front seat assembly LH.

    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    5. Temporarily install the front seat assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

    6. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

      Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly LH.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

    8. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the foremost position.

      Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly LH.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

      Engage the 2 claws and guide to install the inner seat track bracket cover LH.

  3. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH

      Engage the 2 claws and guide to install the outer seat track cover LH.

  4. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

    2. B004QVM

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front inner seat track bracket cover LH.

  5. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front outer seat track bracket cover LH.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly to the front seat assembly LH.

  7. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  9. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
