METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Hybrid System Indicator Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

A hybrid system indicator has been included on this vehicle. In this circuit, the combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate) receives the eco-zone indicator level signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU via CAN communication. The combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate) controls the operation of the hybrid system indicator according to the eco-zone indicator level signal received from the hybrid vehicle control ECU via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication DTCs are output.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (HV SYSTEM INDICATOR)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (HV SYSTEM INDICATOR)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Replace the combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate) with a new or known good one.
