FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

When the front bumper is damaged or deformed due to an accident or contact with other objects, etc., or the bumper installation area on the body is repaired, it is necessary to perform millimeter wave radar sensor adjustment.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the front bumper assembly into position.

      B004PI4 Install in this Direction

      Temporarily install the front bumper assembly with the 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the 4 bolts.

    4. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Connect the connector.

    5. w/ Toyota Safety Sense:


      1. Connect the connector.

    6. w/ Fog Light:


      1. Pull back the side of the front bumper assembly and connect the connector.

        Note

        Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the front bumper assembly.

        Tech Tips

        Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    7. Engage the 4 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    8. Install the 12 screws.

      Install the front bumper assembly with the 2 pin hold clips as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

      B004PI4 Install in this Direction (1)
      B004OIV Install in this Direction (2)

      Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the radiator support opening cover with the 5 clips.

  3. ADJUST FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Fog Light)

  4. INITIALIZATION GRILLE SHUTTER SYSTEM (w/ Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)


    1. Change the grille shutter control mode to normal mode and initialize the grille shutter system.

  5. PERFORM CALIBRATION (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)
