DESCRIPTION

The navigation receiver assembly and stereo component amplifier assembly are connected via AVC-LAN communication line.

This DTC is stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the navigation receiver assembly and stereo component amplifier assembly.

  • The stereo component amplifier assembly is/was not connected while the power switch is/was on (ACC) or (IG)

  • Communication between the master unit and the stereo component amplifier assembly is not possible when the engine is started

  • Stereo component amplifier assembly power source circuit

  • AVC-LAN circuit between navigation receiver assembly and stereo component amplifier assembly

  • Stereo component amplifier assembly

  • Navigation receiver assembly

  • Harness or connector

The navigation receiver assembly is the master unit.

  1. CHECK DTC


    1. If DTC B15C3 is output, perform troubleshooting for DTC B15C3 first.

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the F60 and F61 stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      F60-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F92 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F61 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      F92-7 (TX1+) - F61-8 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F92-8 (TX1-) - F61-7 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F92-7 (TX1+) or F61-8 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F92-8 (TX1-) or F61-7 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  8. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
