PROCEDURE


  1. CONFIRM MODEL


    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the F32 and F33 radio and display receiver assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the G3 and G6 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the K4 and L5 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Measure the resistance between the radio and display receiver assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

      F32-1 (FR+) or G3-4 (TWR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-5 (FR-) or G3-2 (TWR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY, FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the I1 and J1 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the G3 and G6 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

      G3-3 (+) or I1-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the F60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I1 and J1 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the G4 and G5 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Disconnect the K4 and L5 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.
