  1. CONFIRM MODEL


    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK SPEAKER (OPERATION CHECK)


    1. B004OVR

      Enter the "System Check Mode" screen. Refer to Check Speaker in Operation Check.

    2. Perform the operation check above and determine the speaker that is not operating.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F32 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I1 and J1 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the G3 and G6 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and the radio and display receiver assembly to check for an open in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F32-1 (FR+) - G3-4 (TWR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-5 (FR-) - G3-2 (TWR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-2 (FL+) - G6-4 (TWL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-6 (FL-) - G6-2 (TWL-) Always Below 1 Ω
    5. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 1 speaker assemblies and the front No. 2 speaker assemblies to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I1-1 - G3-3 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I1-2 - G3-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω
      J1-1 - G6-3 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J1-2 - G6-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω
    6. Measure the resistance between the radio and display receiver assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F32-1 (FR+) or G3-4 (TWR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-5 (FR-) or G3-2 (TWR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-2 (FL+) or G6-4 (TWL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-6 (FL-) or G6-2 (TWL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    7. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

      I1-1 or G3-3 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I1-2 or G3-1 (-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

    2. Inspect the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

    3. Check that the malfunction disappears when a new or known good front No. 2 speaker assembly is installed.

    1. Remove the front No. 1 speaker assembly.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F33 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L5 and K4 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the rear speaker assemblies and the radio and display receiver assembly to check for an open in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F33-1 (RR+) - K4-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      F33-3 (RR-) - K4-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      F33-2 (RL+) - L5-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      F33-6 (RL-) - L5-2 Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the resistance between the radio and display receiver assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F33-1 (RR+) or K4-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F33-3 (RR-) or K4-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I1 and J1 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 1 speaker assemblies and the stereo component amplifier assembly to check for an open in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F60-15 (FR+) - I1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-30 (FR-) - I1-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-8 (FL+) - J1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-23 (FL-) - J1-2 Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G4 and G5 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and the stereo component amplifier assembly to check for an open in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F60-13 (TWR+) - G4-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-28 (TWR-) - G4-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-10 (TWL+) - G5-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-25 (TWL-) - G5-3 Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

    2. Disconnect the K4 and L5 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the rear speaker assemblies and the stereo component amplifier assembly to check for an open in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F60-11 (RR+) - K4-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-26 (RR-) - K4-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-12 (RL+) - L5-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      F60-27 (RL-) - L5-2 Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.
