DESCRIPTION

The front side ultrasonic sensor LH is installed to the front bumper. The clearance warning ECU assembly detects obstacles based on signals received from the front side ultrasonic sensor LH. If the front side ultrasonic sensor LH has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

Note

If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the power switch on (IG) and the TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTCs.

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Check for DTCs.

      DTC C1AE0 and C1AEE are output B
      No DTCs are output C

  2. REPLACE FRONT SIDE ULTRASONIC SENSOR LH


    1. Replace the front side ultrasonic sensor LH with a new or known good one.

      Tech Tips

      All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a new or known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
