FUEL VAPOR CONTAINMENT VALVE(w/ Canister Pump Module) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL VAPOR CONTAINMENT VALVE (FUEL TANK SOLENOID MAIN VALVE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Install the fuel vapor containment valve (fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly) to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

      B004PRK Push in

      Push the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and fuel tank vent hose onto the fuel vapor containment valve (fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly) and push in the retainer to engage the lock claws.

      Note


      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly, fuel tank vent hose and fuel vapor containment valve (fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly) before performing this work.

      • After connecting the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and fuel tank vent hose, check that the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and fuel tank vent hose are securely connected by pulling on the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and fuel tank vent hose.

    3. Connect the fuel vapor containment valve (fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly) connector.
