IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG

    Tech Tips

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a spark plug.



    1. Install the 4 spark plugs to the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips

      Install the same parts to their original positions.

  2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an ignition coil assembly.



    1. Install the 4 ignition coil assemblies to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips

      Install the same parts to their original positions.

    2. Connect the 4 ignition coil assembly connectors.

  3. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD, RHD Type A)

  4. INSTALL COWL WATER EXTRACT SHIELD LH (for LHD, RHD Type A)

  5. INSTALL COWL WATER EXTRACT SHIELD RH (for LHD, RHD Type A)

    Click here

  6. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH (for LHD, RHD Type A)

    Click here

  7. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD, RHD Type A)

    Click here

  8. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP (for LHD, RHD Type A)

    Click here

  9. INSTALL CENTER NO. 1 COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER (for RHD Type B)


    1. Engage the 2 claws and 8 guides to install the center No. 1 cowl top ventilator louver.

    2. Engage the 3 claws to install the hood to cowl top seal to the cowl top ventilator louver.

    3. Remove the protective tape.

  10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION


    1. Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an ignition coil assembly and spark plug.
