SPEED LIMITER SYSTEM Speed Limiter System does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the speed limiter is turned on using the speed limiter switch, the hybrid vehicle control ECU illuminates the speed limiter indicator and activates the speed limiter system. Each function of the speed limiter system can be activated by operating the cruise control main switch. When the cruise control system is operating, the speed limiter system will not operate.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. Turn the cruise control on using the cruise control main switch.

    3. Check the operation of each function by operating the cruise control main switch.

      Each function of the cruise control system operates normally.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (ASL SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus : Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / ASL SW.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      OFF: Speed limiter switch off

      ON: Speed limiter switch on

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)


    1. Disconnect the F3 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the F21 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F3-5 (ASLM) - F21-4 (ASL) Always Below 1 Ω
      F3-5 (ASLM) or F21-4 (ASL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the F21 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F21-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  5. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly.
