RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET

   
   

   1. Install the 2 radiator support grommets to the radiator assembly.

2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION

   
   

   1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 2 guides.

   2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

   3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly.

   4. Engage the 2 guides.

   5. Engage the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly when installing the radiator assembly.

4. INSTALL INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the clamp to connect the inlet hybrid water pump hose to the fan shroud assembly.

   2. Engage the 2 claws to install the inverter reserve tank assembly to the fan shroud assembly.

5. CONNECT OUTLET NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the outlet No. 1 inverter cooling hose and slide the clip to secure it.

6. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose and slide the clip to secure it.

7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose and slide the clip to secure it.

8. CONNECT INLET NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the inlet No. 1 inverter cooling hose and slide the clip to secure it.

   2. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the fan shroud assembly.

9. CONNECT INLET HYBRID RADIATOR HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the inlet hybrid radiator hose and slide the clip to secure it.

   2. Engage the clamp to connect the inlet hybrid radiator hose to the fan shroud assembly.

10. CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    
    

    1. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and slide the clip to secure it.

    2. Engage the 4 clamps.

11. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    
    

    1. Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and slide the clip to secure it.

12. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH (w/o Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)

16. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)

17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER (w/o Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)

18. INSTALL FRONT ENERGY ABSORBER MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT LH (w/o Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)

    for Type B:

19. INSTALL FRONT ENERGY ABSORBER MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH (w/o Exhaust Heat Recirculation System)

20. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE

    
    

    1. Engage the 5 claws to install a new No. 2 radiator air guide to the radiator assembly.

21. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

       Torque:

       12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. for LHD:

       
       

       1. Engage the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    3. for RHD:

       
       

       1. Engage the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    4. w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

       
       

       1. Connect the cooling fan motor RH connector and cooling fan motor LH connector.

       2. Engage the 7 clamps to connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support sub-assembly and fan shroud assembly.

    5. w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

       
       

       1. Connect the cooling fan motor RH connector and cooling fan motor LH connector.

       2. Engage the 9 clamps to connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support sub-assembly and fan shroud assembly.

    6. w/o Vehicle Approaching Speaker Assembly:

       
       

       1. Connect the 2 horn connectors.

    7. w/ Vehicle Approaching Speaker Assembly:

       
       

       1. Connect the 2 horn connectors and vehicle approaching speaker assembly connector.

22. INSTALL INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER

27. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)
