PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

  3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE COVER LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM WIRE


    1. w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System:

      Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. w/ Panoramic View Monitor System:

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:

      Disconnect the connector.

    4. w/o LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System:

      Detach the 7 clamps and remove the No. 3 engine room wire.

    5. Detach the 16 clamps and remove the No. 3 engine room wire.

  7. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

  9. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 3 screws and front bumper guard cover LH.

  15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 2 RETAINER BRACKET

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the front bumper No. 2 retainer bracket.

  16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 1 RETAINER BRACKET

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the front bumper No. 2 retainer bracket.

  17. REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT LH

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the 2 guides and remove the air intake duct LH.

  18. REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH

      B002I10 Screw

      Remove the 4 outside moulding retainers.

    2. Remove the screw.

    3. Detach the 3 claws and remove the No. 2 radiator grille garnish.

  20. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 radiator grille garnish.

  21. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL

      Detach the 13 clips and remove the hood to front end panel seal.

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY

  23. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD ASSEMBLY


    1. Detach the 6 clips and 3 screws.

    2. Detach the 13 claws and remove the front bumper guard assembly.

  24. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 2 GUARD


    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Detach the 20 claws, 2 guides and remove the front bumper No. 2 guard.

  25. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 2 GUARD PAD LH

      B002JLO Protective Tape

      Use a screwdriver to remove the retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. B002ICL

      Detach the claw and remove the front bumper No. 2 guard pad LH.

  26. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 2 GUARD PAD RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  27. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD


    1. Detach the 8 claws and remove the front bumper guard.

  28. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING

  29. REMOVE NO. 2 MOULDING TAPE

    Tech Tips


    • When removing the No. 2 moulding tape, heat the front bumper cover and No. 2 moulding tape using a heat light.

    • Use the same procedure described for the other side.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    No. 2 Moulding Tape 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the front bumper cover and No. 2 moulding tape excessively.
