RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER RELAY


    1. B002IAH

      Remove the headlight dimmer relay from the engine room relay block.

    2. B002JKNN01

      Inspect the headlight dimmer relay.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Auxiliary battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer relay.

    3. Install the headlight dimmer relay to the engine room relay block.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 HEADLIGHT RELAY


    1. B002HBX

      Remove the No. 2 headlight relay from the No. 2 engine room relay block.

    2. B002H79N01

      Inspect the No. 2 headlight relay.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Auxiliary battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 headlight relay.

    3. Install the No. 2 headlight relay to the No. 2 engine room relay block.

  3. INSPECT FOG LIGHT RELAY


    1. B002I5E

      Remove the fog light relay from the No. 2 engine room relay block.

    2. B002H79N01

      Inspect the fog light relay.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Auxiliary battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the fog light relay.

    3. Install the fog light relay to the No. 2 engine room relay block.

  4. INSPECT REAR FOG LIGHT RELAY


    1. Remove the multi-display assembly.

    2. B002HGK

      Remove the rear fog light relay from the instrument panel relay block.

    3. B002H79N01

      Inspect the rear fog light relay.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 5 Auxiliary battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear fog light relay.

    4. Install the rear fog light relay to the instrument panel relay block.

    5. Install the multi-display assembly.
