The headlight ECU sub-assembly controls the headlight leveling motor.

After the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH is replaced, vehicle information registration and initialization are necessary.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (LEVELING MOTOR)


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Active Test
      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Drive The Leveling Motor Operates the headlight leveling motor Up, Down or Stop Perform with the vehicle stopped, power switch on (READY) and low beam headlights illuminated.

      Remove the headlight leveling motor RH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E-3 - B-7 Always Below 1 Ω
      E-2 - B-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      E-1- B-17 Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR RH


    1. Replace the headlight leveling motor RH with a new or known good one.

    2. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.
