This DTC is output when there is a problem in the power supply for the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH.

The headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH outputs DTC B242E.

  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. Turn on the headlights using the headlight dimmer switch.

    3. Check for DTCs.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly RH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A20-4 (IG) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
      A20-4 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A20-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
