HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

  2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (for RHD, w/ Cover)

      Detach the claw and guide and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (for RHD, w/Cover)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the No. 2 hood lock control cable cover.

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE CENTER HOOD CUSHION

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the center hood cushion.

  6. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL LH

      Detach the clip and remove the hood to front fender seal LH.

  7. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH

  10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 3 claws and disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      *1 String

      Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

    2. Detach each clamp, and then pull out the hood lock control cable assembly from the vehicle body.

    3. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.

  15. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      *1 String

      Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

    2. Detach each clamp, and then pull out the hood lock control cable assembly from the vehicle body.

    3. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
