POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM Power Back Door Warning System does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the power back door warning system does not operate, one of the following may be malfunctioning: 1) wireless door lock control system, 2) power back door warning buzzer circuit or 3) multiplex network door ECU.

  • If the replacement, removal and installation of the multiplex network door ECU or disconnection of the connectors of the multiplex network door ECU has been performed, initialize the power back door system.

  2. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (HAZARD ANSWER-BACK FUNCTION)


    1. Check wireless door lock operation.

  3. REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU

  6. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the wireless door lock buzzer.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER BACK DOOR WARNING BUZZER - MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the Y14 power back door warning buzzer connector.

    2. Disconnect the Y16 multiplex network door ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Y14-1 (BZR+) - Y16-5 (BZR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y14-2 (BZR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Y14-1 (BZR+) or Y16-5 (BZR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
