HEATED WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL

    The heated windshield defroster system thin heater wires are attached to the windshield glass and defrost the windshield glass surface quickly.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Outline
    No. 2 Combination Switch Assembly (Windshield Deicer Switch) Sends signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly to operate the heated windshield defroster system.
    Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly Sends heated windshield defroster activation request signals to the EHW NO. 1 relay and EHW NO. 2 relay.

    • EHW NO. 1 Relay

    • EHW NO. 2 Relay

    		 Receive heated windshield defroster activation request signals from the air conditioning amplifier assembly and supply power to the windshield glass (heated windshield defroster LH and heated windshield defroster RH).
    Windshield Glass (Heated Windshield Defroster LH, Heated Windshield Defroster RH) Receive power from EHW NO. 1 relay and EHW NO. 2 relay and heat thin heater wires.
    ECM Sends heated windshield defroster operation permission signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
    Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Sends READY ON signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
