  1. ROOF SUNSHADE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


    1. The roof sunshade system controls the roof sunshade operation using the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly. Operating the map light assembly results in electrical power being transmitted to the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    The roof sunshade system consists of the following components:

    Component Outline
    Sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly The sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly controls the rotational direction of the motor.
    Map light assembly The map light assembly sends operation signals to the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.
  3. SYSTEM FUNCTION

    The roof sunshade system has the following features.

    Function Outline
    Manual open and close This function causes the roof sunshade to open (or close) when the open switch (or close switch) is pressed for a maximum of 0.3 seconds. The roof sunshade stops as soon as the switch is released.
    Auto open and close* This function causes the roof sunshade to be fully open (or closed) when the open switch (or close switch) is pressed for a minimum of 0.3 seconds.
    Jam protection The jam protection function automatically stops the roof sunshade and moves it to the halfway open or fully open position if a foreign matter gets jammed in the roof sunshade during close operation.
    Overload Stop When a load above a certain amount is detected during an open operation, such as when contacting an obstacle, this function stops the open operation.

    *: This function can be customized. If the customize setting is OFF, this function does not operate.
