SEAT POSITION SENSOR(for Power Seat) REMOVAL

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  2. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX (w/ Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH (w/ Spare Tire)

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      w/o Spare Tire:

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the battery service cover.

    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  7. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

  8. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    3. B002JPX

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt and nut and seat position airbag sensor together with the seat slide position sensor protector.

    4. B002HRW

      Detach the guide and remove the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position airbag sensor.
