SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY(for Manual Seat) INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.
If the cushion airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag sub-assembly RH, separate type front seat cushion spring assembly, separate type front seat cushion cover and separate type front seat cushion pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE

INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
1. Install the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH with 3 new nuts.
  
  Torque:
  
  5.5 N*m { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
  CAUTION:
  - The nuts must not be reused.
  - Make sure that the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
2. Attach the claw to connect the airbag connector.
3. Attach the wire harness clamp.

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

Note

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

1. Connect the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal and tighten the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  5.4 N*m { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
2. w/o Spare Tire:
  
  Attach the 2 claws to install the battery service cover.
