DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the combination meter detects a fuel sender gauge malfunction.

Both conditions are met:


  • IG voltage is 10.5 V or higher.

  • Average input signal of fuel sender gauge is 550 Ω or more 3 times consecutively


  • Fuel sender gauge assembly

  • Harness or connector

  • Combination meter assembly

When replacing the combination meter assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (FUEL INPUT)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

  2. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the I10 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the b2 fuel sender gauge assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I10-27 (FR) - b2-1 (FS) Always Below 1 Ω
      I10-28 (FE) - b2-2 (FE) Always Below 1 Ω
      I10-31 (ES) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      I10-27 (FR) or b2-1 (FS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I10-28 (FE) or b2-2 (FE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
