DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when one of the following occurs: 1) theft warning tilt sensor power supply malfunction, 2) theft warning tilt sensor tilt sensor open malfunction, or 3) EEPROM malfunction.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (THEFT WARNING TILT SENSOR - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the theft warning tilt sensor connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I127-6 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I127-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] - THEFT WARNING TILT SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the I47 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the I127 theft warning tilt sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      I47-6 (GCS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.

      Tech Tips


      • If the theft warning tilt sensor is normal, an initial response is output in response to the HI input from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      • If the waveform output remains LO, there may be a problem with the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), as there is no input from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
