B2768 Tilt Sensor Internal Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when one of the following occurs: 1) theft warning tilt sensor power supply malfunction, 2) theft warning tilt sensor open malfunction, or 3) EEPROM malfunction.

  • Theft warning tilt sensor power supply malfunction

  • Theft warning tilt sensor open malfunction

  • EEPROM malfunction

  • Theft warning tilt sensor

  • Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)

Note

If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG), then off.

    3. Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

    4. Check that the security indicator changes from illuminated to blinking.

    5. Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

    6. Check for DTCs.

  2. REPLACE THEFT WARNING TILT SENSOR


    1. Temporarily replace the theft warning tilt sensor with a new or normally functioning one.
