AUXILIARY BATTERY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL AUXILIARY BATTERY


    1. Install the auxiliary battery.

    2. B002JQL

      Install the battery insulator to the auxiliary battery.

    3. Install the L-shaped pipe section to the auxiliary battery without twisting the battery hose.

      Tech Tips

      Insert the auxiliary battery hose all the way into the auxiliary battery.

    4. Install the battery clamp sub-assembly to the auxiliary battery with the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      for bolt
      16.5 N*m  { 168 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf }
      for nut
      4.9 N*m  { 50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf }

    5. Attach the clamp and connect the wire harness.

    6. Connect the cable to the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    7. Attach the claw to close the auxiliary battery terminal cap.

  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
