DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the hard disk drive, which is built into the radio receiver assembly, has an initialization malfunction or read/write errors occur more than a specified number of times.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARD DISK DRIVE (OPERATION CHECK)


    1. B002K00

      Enter the "HDD Check" screen. Refer to Check Hard Disk Drive in Operation Check.

      Click here

    2. Select "HDD Check" and check the result.

      OK
      "OK" is displayed.

      Tech Tips

      After "HDD Check" is selected, it may take a while until the result is displayed.

  2. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

  3. CHECK DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

      Tech Tips

      The hard disk drive may be malfunctioning even if DTC B15B8 is not output.

    1. Replace the Hard disc drive (HDD) with a new or normally functioning one.
