DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a communication error occurs between the radio receiver assembly and combination meter assembly.

B1324 Lost Communication with Meter After the radio receiver assembly receives a registration information signal, which is sent by the combination meter assembly when the power switch is on (ACC), 1 or more times, the multi-media module receiver assembly cannot receive the signal for 30 seconds or more

Note

When replacing the combination meter assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (METER / GAUGE SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes
      OK
      No DTCs are output.
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I122 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I11 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I122-3 (CNH1) - I11-10 (MSCH) Always Below 1 Ω
      I122-4 (CNL1) - I11-9 (MSCL) Always Below 1 Ω
      I122-3 (CNH1) or I11-10 (MSCH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I122-4 (CNL1) or I11-9 (MSCL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
