DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (combination switch assembly) is on.


  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator.

  • Outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH)

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH

  • Harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly LH

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (combination switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Clear DTCs

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC C1AB4 is not output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the V1 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the M5 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V1-4 (OMIL) - M5-13 (BDSL) Always Below 1 Ω
      M5-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the m5 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the IND1 outer rear view mirror LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      m5-8 (BSM+) - IND1-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      m5-12 (TRN-) - IND1-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

  5. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR LH


    1. Replace the outer mirror LH.
