DESCRIPTION

The display signal of the rear television camera assembly is transmitted to the radio receiver assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I122 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the Y6 rear television camera assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I122-11 (CA+) - Y6-6 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I122-12 (V+) - Y6-3 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I122-24 (V-) - Y6-2 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      I122-23 (CGND) - Y6-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      I122-11 (CA+) or Y6-6 (CB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I122-12 (V+) or Y6-3 (CV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I122-24 (V-) or Y6-2 (CV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I122-23 (CGND) or Y6-5 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the radio receiver assembly with the connector still connected.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      I122-24 (V-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the radio receiver assembly with the connector connected.

    2. Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

      Tech Tips

      A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the radio receiver assembly with the connector connected.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GVIF CABLE)


    1. Replace the GVIF cable with a new or normally functioning one.

    2. Check if the same malfunction recurs when the rear view monitor screen is displayed.

  5. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or normally functioning one.
