DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the radio receiver assembly judges that the signals or signal lines between the radio receiver assembly and the rear television camera assembly are not normal as a result of its self check.

Note


  • When "System initializing" is displayed on the radio receiver assembly after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs
    2. Check for DTCs.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I38 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the Y6 rear television camera assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      I38-39 (CA+) - Y6-6 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I38-18 (V+) - Y6-3 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I38-19 (V-) - Y6-2 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      I38-40 (CGND) - Y6-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      I38-39 (CA+) or Y6-6 (CB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I38-18 (V+) or Y6-3 (CV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I38-19 (V-) or Y6-2 (CV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I38-40 (CGND) or Y6-5 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (CGND, CA+)

      Remove the radio receiver assembly with the connector still connected.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the radio receiver assembly with the connector still connected.

    2. Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

      Tech Tips

      A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the radio receiver assembly with the connector connected.

      Waveform 1: Power switch on (IG), shift lever in R, camera lens is not covered, displaying an image

      Tech Tips

      The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the rear television camera assembly.

  5. REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the rear television camera assembly with a new or normally functioning one.
