SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • Do not replace the spiral cable with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

  • Do not rotate the spiral cable when the following conditions are met: 1) The steering wheel is removed, 2) the battery is connected, and 3) the power switch is on (IG).

  • Ensure that the steering wheel assembly is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering sensor.

  • Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the 2 transmission shift switch assembly connectors to install the No. 1 switch wire to the 2 transmission shift switch assemblies.

    2. Install the 2 transmission shift switch assemblies to the steering wheel assembly with 4 new screws.

    3. Connect the 5 guides to install the 2 transmission shift switch assemblies with No. 1 switch wire to the steering wheel assembly.

    4. Connect the No. 1 switch wire connector.
