This DTC will be stored if the power steering ECU assembly determines that the assist map is not written in the ECU.

  • If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced, perform assist map writing.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ASSIST MAP WRITING


    1. Perform the assist map writing.

      Chassis > EMPS > Utility
      Tester Display
      Signal Check

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      Chassis > EMPS > Trouble Codes
      Result
      Proceed to
      DTC C1581/26 is output.
      DTC C1581/26 is not output.

      Note

      DTC C1581/26 is cleared after the assist map is written.


    DTC C1581/26 is not output.

    END

    DTC C1581/26 is output.

  3. CHECK RELATED PART


    1. Check if any of the parts listed below have been replaced with an incorrect part in the past.

      Related Part Hybrid vehicle control ECU
      Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
      Skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly)

      Note

      When removing a related part to check it, be sure to follow the appropriate procedures and precautions.


      Tech Tips

      When DTC C1581/26 is output when parts have not been exchanged, replace the power steering ECU assembly as it may have an internal malfunction.
