WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. CONNECT HV WATER PUMP BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B002K3CC03
      *a Bolt A
      *b Bolt B

      Temporarily install the HV water pump bracket sub-assembly to the inverter bracket with bolt A.

    2. Install bolt B.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    3. Tighiten bolt A.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL WATER PUMP WITH MOTOR

      *b Matchmark
      *c 180°
      *d 90°
      *e Rear of Vehicle
      *f Right Side of the Vehicle
      *g Top

      Connect the No. 2 inverter cooling hose and No. 3 inverter cooling hose to the water pump with motor, and slide the clamp to secure it.

      Note


      • Until immediately before connecting the water hose, plug the pipe with vinyl tape, etc. to prevent foreign matter from entering the water pump with motor.

      • Align the rib of the water pump with motor with the matchmark on the water hose side.

      • Insert the water hose securely up to the rib of the water pump with motor.

      • Align the clamp at the position shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the water pump with motor with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      6.1 N*m  { 62 kgf*cm, 54 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      First, temporarily install the 2 bolts, install the 3rd bolt with the specified torque, and then tighten the 2 bolts.

    3. Connect the water pump with motor connector.

  3. CONNECT NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. ADD COOLANT (for Inverter Coolant)

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Inverter Coolant)

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
