DESCRIPTION

Regular battery power is supplied to the BATT terminal of the hybrid control ECU in order to store DTCs and freeze frame data. Even if the power switch is turned off, back-up power is supplied.

After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.


  1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 5 seconds or more.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - ECU-B NO. 3 FUSE)

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK FUSE (ECU-B NO. 3)

      Remove the ECU-B NO. 3 fuse from the fuse block assembly.

    2. Check if there is an open circuit in the ECU-B NO. 3 fuse in the fuse block assembly.

      There is no open circuit in the ECU-B NO. 3 fuse.
    3. Install the ECU-B NO. 3 fuse.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECU-B NO. 3 FUSE - BATTERY TERMINAL)

      Remove the ECU-B NO. 3 fuse from the fuse block assembly.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) cable Power switch off Below 1 Ω
      1 - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
    5. Connect the cable to the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    6. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    7. Install the ECU-B NO. 3 fuse.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECU-B NO. 3 FUSE - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROl ECU)


    1. Remove the ECU-B NO. 3 fuse from the fuse block assembly.

    2. Disconnect the I116 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
