PROCEDURE

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor.



    1. B002HEZC01
      *1 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
      *2 Gasket
      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length
      *b 19 mm Ball Joint Lock Nut Wrench

      Using a 19 mm ball joint lock nut wrench, install a new gasket and engine coolant temperature sensor.

      Torque
      Specified tightening torque
      19.6 N*m (200 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.91 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)): 10.2 N*m (104 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)

    2. Connect the 2 ground wires with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }
    3. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
