FUEL PUMP(w/o Canister Pump Module) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY

  2. DISCONNECT FUEL EMISSION HOSE


    1. A01CPDMC02
      *1 No. 1 Fuel Evaporation Tube
      *2 Charcoal Canister Outlet Tube
      *3 Fuel Evaporation Tube Sub-assembly
      *4 Retainer

      Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the No. 1 fuel evaporation tube and charcoal canister outlet tube from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.

    2. Release the retainer and disconnect the fuel evaporation tube sub-assembly from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.

      Note


      • Remove dirt or foreign objects on the joints of the tube and hose before proceeding with work.

      • Do not use any tools.

      • Do not bend, kink or twist the nylon tubes.

      • Protect the disconnected part by covering it with a plastic bag and tape after disconnecting the fuel tube.

      • If the fuel evaporation tube sub-assembly and fuel suction plate sub-assembly are stuck, push and pull to release them.

  3. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the tube joint clip, then disconnect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.

      Note


      • Remove dirt or foreign objects on the fuel tube joint before proceeding with work.

      • Do not allow any scratches or foreign objects on the connecting part as the fuel tube joint has the O-ring that seals the pipe.

      • Do not use any tools.

      • Do not bend, kink or twist the nylon tubes.

      • Protect the disconnected part by covering it with a plastic bag and tape after disconnecting the fuel tube.

      • If the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly is stuck, pinch the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly and carefully turn to disconnect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly.

      • Be careful not to damage the tube joint clip. If the tube joint clip is damaged, replace it.

  4. REMOVE FUEL TANK VENT TUBE SET PLATE


    1. A01COCV

      Remove the 8 bolts and fuel tank vent tube set plate.

  5. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01COXR

      Slide the clamp, disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel suction tube assembly, then remove the fuel suction tube assembly from the fuel tank assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the fuel suction tube assembly.

      *1 Gasket

      Remove the gasket from the fuel suction tube assembly.
