Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.

Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG
REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL
REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR GUIDE SEAL
REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
REMOVE REAR DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR
DISCONNECT REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH (w/o Rear Door Sunshade)
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
REMOVE FRONT INNER BLACK OUT TAPE
Using a heat light, heat the front inner black out tape and vehicle body.

| Front Inner Black Out Tape and Vehicle Body | 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) |
Note
Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.
Pull back on one of the ends of the front inner black out tape to remove it.
Tech Tips
When pulling on the front inner black out tape, pull it parallel to the body.
REMOVE REAR INNER BLACK OUT TAPE
Using a heat light, heat the rear inner black out tape and vehicle body.

Note
Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.

REMOVE UPPER INNER BLACK OUT TAPE
Using a heat light, heat the upper inner black out tape and vehicle body.
