  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 QUARTER PANEL SEAL

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 2 quarter panel seal, heat the vehicle body and No. 2 quarter panel seal using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    No. 2 Quarter Panel Seal 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or No. 2 quarter panel seal excessively.


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new No. 2 quarter panel seal.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and No. 2 quarter panel seal.

      2. Remove the release paper from the new No. 2 quarter panel seal.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Attach the double-sided tape.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 2 quarter panel seal firmly to temporarily install it.

      4. Install a new grommet.

      5. Install the No. 2 quarter panel seal with the 4 screws.

  2. CONNECT QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING


    1. Engage the 4 clips.

    2. Install the 2 clips.

    3. Connect the quarter panel wheel opening moulding with the screw.
