FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR UPPER OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD

   
   

   1. Clean the front door outside moulding.

      
      

      1. Remove any double-sided tape from the front door outside moulding.

      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. Install a new front door upper outside moulding pad.

      
      

      1. Remove the release paper from the new front door upper outside moulding pad.

         Tech Tips

         After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Install the front door upper outside moulding pad as shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Tech Tips

   When installing the front door outside moulding sub-assembly, heat the vehicle body and front door outside moulding sub-assembly using a heat light.

   Heating Temperature

   Item	Temperature
   Vehicle Body	40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
   Front Door Outside Moulding Sub-assembly	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   Note

   Do not heat the vehicle body or front door outside moulding sub-assembly excessively.

   
   

   1. Install 10 new clips.

   2. Install a new gasket.

   3. Clean the vehicle body surface.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   4. Install the front door outside moulding sub-assembly.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and front door outside moulding sub-assembly.

      2. Remove the release paper from the front door outside moulding sub-assembly.

         Tech Tips

         After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Engage the 10 clips and attach the double-sided tape.

         Tech Tips

         Press the front door outside moulding sub-assembly firmly to temporarily install it.

      4. Install the nut.

      5. Install the hole plug.

      6. Engage the 6 clips to install the front door outside moulding sub-assembly.
