NAME PLATE REMOVAL

Tech Tips

When removing the name plates or emblem, heat the vehicle body and name plates or emblem using a heat light.

Heating Temperature
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Name Plate or Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body, name plates or emblem excessively.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE


    1. A018KTPC01
      B004057 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the No. 1 back door name plate.

    2. Using a moulding remover, separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 1 back door name plate.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE

      B004057 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    2. Using a moulding remover, separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  4. REMOVE NO. 4 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

      B004057 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the No. 4 back door name plate.

    2. Using a moulding remover, separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 4 back door name plate.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  5. REMOVE NO. 4 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PLATE

      B004057 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the No. 4 luggage compartment door plate.

    2. Using a moulding remover, separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 4 luggage compartment door plate.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
